Over 50 years ago, Simon Konover began his real estate business. Based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Konover South represents the Simon Konover Companies in the southeastern United States, being responsible for over 5,500,000 square feet of retail development and continuing to aggressively seek to expand its presence.
The Konover South in-house organization includes senior executives with over 75 years of collective retail real estate experience. In-house property management, leasing, research, accounting and marketing round out the organizations ability to be completely self sufficient in the areas of site selection, acquisition of both raw land and existing properties and management of its portfolio of institutional grade shopping centers.
Konover South is proud to have numbered among its anchor tenants such leading retailers as ABC Liquor, Bi-Lo, Bruno’s Supermarket, Circuit City, CVS Pharmacy, Eckerd’s, Food Lion, Hechinger, Home Goods, Home Depot, JoAnn’s Fabrics, Kmart, Kroger, Marshall’s, Office Depot, Office Max, Petco, Phar-Mor, Publix, TJ Maxx, Walgreen’s, Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie.
As a part of the Simon Konover Companies, Konover South has the ability to interact with the Konover Properties organization headquartered in West Hartford, CT where Simon Konover began in 1959. The Simon Konover Companies, in total, has developed and/or acquired over 125 shopping centers (over 15,000,000 square feet) 7,000 apartments in 48 communities, over 1,500,000 square feet of office space and operates approximately 2,000 hotel rooms in 16 hotels. Together there is no facet of the business that Konover South doesn’t have the expertise to draw upon.
